Pastificio di Chiavenna
Pastificio di Chiavenna

Pastificio di Chiavenna (based in Prata Camportaccio, Sondrio, Lombardy) was founded in 1868 as a mill and pasta producer. In the 1960s, the company moved to a modern factory in the outskirts of Chiavenna. Alongside the traditional production of durum semolina wheat pasta, it initiated the production of various specialties from Valtellina under the Moro brand (Pizzoccheri), becoming a leader in this market niche. The company’s subsequent years of sustained growth led it to become a relevant player in the market of special pasta (gluten-free, buckwheat, baby food and other dietetic pasta).

In February 2020, Pastificio di Chiavenna was sold to Sanremo Macaroni Group, a leading Australian trade buyer of the sector.
