The Company, founded in 1977, was initially an artisan laboratory producing fresh cakes for the local area of Reggio Emilia. During the years, it evolved taking on an industrial approach and specializing in the production of oven-baked products such as pies and tartlets distributed to large retail chains. Dolciaria Val D’Enza is today a leading player in the Italian market of ambient premium tartlets and pies and offers a diversified range of high quality products both with its own brand “Dolci del Castello” and private label. In April 2017 the company was sold to a leading international group in the food sector.
